Shift:   6:30 am - 2:30 pm

 

Employment Term:   240 Days; prorated for the 2018-19 school year

 

Salary Range:  Pay Grade E; $21,150.00 - $34,350.00 prorated for the 2018-19 school year

 

General Responsibilities and Goals:  Perform routine manual tasks in any operation of the county school system.

 

Relationship:  Directly responsible to the Supervisor of Maintenance.

 

General Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Passage of state competency test relevant to the position;
  • Physical ability to withstand stress of job.

General Duties:

  • Perform duties that relate to the appearance, repair and general care of school grounds;
  • Assist in keeping facilities and equipment clean, attractive and safe;
  • Painting, finishing, decorating wood, metal and concrete surfaces of buildings and other structures, equipment, machinery, and furnishings.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • The empoloyee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hand-to-finger, feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is required to stoop, climb, kneel, and crouch.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and must be physically capable of working on ladders, roof tops, cat walks, crawl spaces, inside boilers, tunnels, tight work spaces with precision tools.
