Salary:  $10.00 per student based on 2nd month report

Responsibilities:

• Provide organizational framework in which efficient and appropriate special education referrals/programs can be delivered to students with exceptional educational needs.
• Collaborate with building staff.
• Establish and oversee the record keeping of Eligibility Committee and IEp meetings.
• Collaborate with building principal and special education staff.
• Prepare all forms as required for special educational Eligibility Committee and IEP meetings.
• Participate in trainings.
• Serve as a liaison between special education and regular education teachers.
• Consult with Special Education Director and school administrator on legal concerns and parent/student issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in special education preferred.
• Have appropriate certification for the position subject(s) and grade levels as required in West Virginia Policy 5202.
• Clearance of any criminal convictions as listed in House Bill 146.
• Successfully carry out the responsibilities of the position.
• Individual with technology integration skills preferred.
• Applicants who have been dismissed or who have had their contracts non-renewed for cause by another school district are not eligible for consideration.
• Satisfactory references concerning past performance.
• Satisfactory past evaluations.
• Valid teaching certificate licensing the individual to teach in the specializations and grade levels pursuant to WV Code 18A-3-2; Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code 18-5-15c and/or 18A-3-10, as appropriate; Meet the qualifications outlined in WV Code 18A-3-2a.
