Salary Range: Pay Grade B; $23,604.00 - $41,808.00
General Responsibilities and Goals: Perform routine manual tasks in any operation of the county school system.
Relationship: Directly responsible to the Supervisor of Maintenance.
General Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Passage of state competency test(s) relevant to the position;
- Physical ability to withstand stress of job.
- Perform duties that relate to the appearance, repair and general care of school grounds.
Performance Standards/Indicators:
- Work hand in hand with teacher in meat processing plant, on the harvesting floord, wrapping floor, and classroom setting;
- Clean/sanitize meat processing facility daily;
- Assit in answering calls,taking orders and setting butchering dates for customers;
- Feed and water all livestock on a regular basis;
- Meet customers and help unload livestock to be processed;
- Oversee livestock production for reproduction, weaning to sale;
- Assist livestock during calving season;
- Production of hay/silage;
- Fertilize and lime all fields;
- Build and maintain all fence lines;
- Know how to operate all machinery and equipment;
- Be able to perform basic maintenance on machinery and equipment;
- Know how to test soil;
- Know how to determine moisture levels of hay for purpose of wrapping to produce silage;
- Maintain records for profit/loss of farm production;
- Purchase supplies and feed for farm;
- Inventory supplies, livestock, and equipment for farm;
- Maintain all physical facilities on the farm/school property.
- Assist packing processed meats for customers;

- Maintain a clean, uncluttered work area;
